From Louisiana, the
"Soulful Cajun music with a woman's heart"
This pioneering all woman Cajun band was founded by musician and folklorist Ann Savoy. Yes, they can play hardcore Cajun dancehall music, but they go on to show the variety and beauty of Louisiana French music. Reaching into the past, they bring out funky old time creole numbers going back to the bals de maison (house parties) of yore.  They reach forward to when blues and jazz numbers entered Louisiana french music. And they are not afraid to pause in the middle of an up tempo evening to sing an a capella ballad from old Louisiana. With multiple albums and several grammy nominations under their belt, they bring a unique and refreshing approach to Cajun music.

(cos we can't get enough of the band)
